The new animal health legislation

The CSQA presents the new EU regulation on animal health which entered into application on 21 April 2021 and the legislative interventions currently being approved by the Italian Parliament to implement Reg. (EU) 2016/429.
The topics that will be covered will concern: animal health, biosecurity measures that must be implemented in farms and the responsibilities of those who own the animals and the possible implications in the trade of animals and products; the rules for implementing the regulation into Italian law; the possible advantages of the “farm risk classification” and the implications in the certification systems of animal welfare and the absence of antibiotics.
