Sensory perception and COVID-19

On-line questionnaires

The Italian Society of Sensory Sciences (SISS), The Italian Society of Sensory Sciences (SISS), to which the SAV research group " Livestock farming and food quality" adheres, invites those who have been infected with COVID-19 to participate in two online studies concerning the effects of the disease on the perceptual system.

It is known that changes in taste and smell are symptoms of Covid-19 infection and the questionnaires are intended to help researchers understand this relationship more deeply.

1st STUDY: Managed by Global Consortium for Chemosensory Research (GCCR)
Online questionnaire in Italian and self-control test with objects that you can find at home to check your sensitivity for smell and taste https://gcchemosensr.org/surveys/it/

2nd STUDY: coordinated by Weizmann Institute of Science
to access the questionnaire directly : https://smelltracker.org/it

It is possible to participate in all studies and the questionnaire reported in the news of May 15, 2020 organized by the Epidemiology Unit of the Institute of Biomedical Technologies of the National Research Council (CNR) is still active and can be accessed from the following link: HERE
