34th Feast of the Goats in Timau (UD)
26th Regional Exhibition of goat products
Saturday 26 and Sunday, May 27, 2018, the local tourist office of Timau Cleulis (UD) organized the annual FESTIVAL OF GOATS to promote and enhance a livestock sector that has ancient roots in the territory and that in recent years has been able to resist and renew ensuring, through the short chain, high level dairy products able to satisfy the most demanding consumers.
Goat cheese and fresh spreadeble cheese have been evaluated by a panel of experts, coordinated by dr. Roberto Valusso, in order to reward the best products in three categories.
The first prize for the best goat cheese 2018, in the category of "professionals", was given to the company Gruden-Zbogar from Sgonico (TS), the second and third place went respectively to Agricleulis from Paluzza (UD) and Pistor Patrizia from Faedis (UD).
In the "amateurs" category the podium was conquered by Gaspardo Paola from Maniago (PN).
The best spreadable goat cheese was, ex aequo, the one produced by the CEFAP from Codroipo (UD) and by the company San Gregorio from Castel d'Aviano (PN).
