Easter: alternative lamb time?
After the cultured meat of chicken and beef, the cultured meat of lamb appears on the market
The American start-up Black Sheep Foods and the Australian Magic Valley are working on alternative proposals to traditional meat.
The first company focuses on plant-based lamb meat, enriched with exclusive aromatic compounds, while the second is active in cellular agriculture or "cultured" meat starting from the cells of live animals, multiplied in bioreactors. The latter alternative is not yet commercially available, but the results look promising.
Could this be the beginning of the end for traditional pastoralism?
